Physical principles and technologies for medical image acquisition
(radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, optical imaging, magnetic resonance, tomographic reconstruction, etc..), computer vision approach for medical imaging and computer aided diagnosis.

Learning Objectives
Knowledge of medical imaging technologies: in particular acquisition principles and devices,
biomedical image processing both for tomographic reconstruction and for supportings research and clinical medical activities.
Prerequisites
The same as the prerequisites for the inscription to Biomedical Engineering degree.
Teaching Methods
Lessons with videoprojection.
Exercises in laboratory (groups of two or three students).
Type of Assessment
Oral examination, with the possibility of preparing a written work.
