To provide essential competence in measurement of fundamental electrical quantities (voltage, current, resistance, impedance) through oscilloscope and multimeter, voltage and current probes. Ability to evaluate the quality of a measurement result (measurement uncertainty). Knowledge of writing rules and terminology of measurements.
Prerequisites
For a full understanding of the course subjects an adequate knowledge of mathematics, physics, theory of circuits and statistics is necessary.
Teaching Methods
Lectures in classroom and laboratory experiments.
Type of Assessment
Oral examination concerning the measurement results obtained through laboratory experiments and the course detailed program.
The typical duration of the exam is 45-60 minutes. Three questions will be asked: the first and the second question will be about the course program (any topic) and the third question will be about the results of laboratory experiments. The time assigned to each question is therefore between 15 and 20 minutes.
Course program
- Step and frequency response of systems (0 order, 1st order, 2nd order)
