Course Content
This course module will be oriented to the learning of the main and fundamental graphic skills necessary for the representation of buildings and buildings in all their forms: historical, monumental, project, virtual, etc. The approach to the theme will be conducted according to a path that will mediate digital solutions starting from traditional techniques looking for a clear definition of the most useful meeting points between analog and digital procedures.

Learning Objectives
The main objective of the course is to train students in a conscious use of analog and digital graphic techniques for the preparation of the representation of their ideas and their projects according to the logic of "best result with minimum effort". The orientation of the course will be mainly aimed at the relevant solutions "the built" with particular reference to the works of civil engineering. The main techniques and procedures of use of digital graphics will be studied. As a result of learning the subjects of the discipline will be a decisive improvement in the ability to graphically visualize the project, to present it to others, to develop clear representations of the states of fact and the proposed transformations, all through controlled instruments and always adapted to the requirements of the case.

Teaching Methods
Digital procedures of representation
The way of representing in the last thirty years has radically changed, just as the way of structuring a graphic project has changed; the digital revolution, started over fifty years ago is in a phase of advancement such as to no longer allow to ignore its presence as a founding phase of representation as the most immediate analog techniques. In this core of the course, students will learn the fundamental functions of computer graphics oriented to the representation of the existing and the planned.
In the phase of the course dedicated to "The instruments of representation" students will acquire the knowledge of the fundamentals of computer graphics. In this phase, the technical characteristics of the individual solutions will be taken into account, indicating the most significant and cost-effective application areas.
In the phase of the course dedicated to "The procedures of the representation" will be instead taken in consideration the working methodologies for the more usual fields of the drawing: the representation of the project idea and the return of the existing with clear references to the instrumentation for the survey and for the reproduction of the copies of their work theme.
In the phase of the course dedicated to "Graphic techniques and procedures" The teaching will focus on digital representation solutions commiste to traditional ones in order to better understand how to properly prepare the presentation of their technical graphics or rendering (understood in its broadest sense).

Type of Assessment
How the exam works:
During the course will be assigned some exercises, which must be delivered within a defined time from time to time (usually within seven days), in case of non-delivery/ presence, can not be carried out according to the text of the original exercise, but will be replaced by alternative exercises presented in the course program. All exercises will be withdrawn (in digital form by sending the original files and their PDF version) and will not be further processed. Alternative exercises must be carried out and delivered by the deadline of 15/01/22. Failure to deliver by the deadline, involves the assignment of an additional set of exercises that will be defined in the course program.
Final exercise
At the end of the set of exercises assigned during the course there is a final exercise based on the drafting of an individual theme organized in a series of specific tables. The detailed and extensive description will be available later in the course, the final tutorial will be presented at the end of the course (about 15/12/22) and will have delivery date on 15/01/22. The exercise will include the possibility to choose between three different themes. For failure to deliver in this deadline the final exercise will provide for the integral development of all 3 themes.
The student who during the course will have submitted all the exercises, or the equivalent alternative exercises, delivered progressively or in a single solution and in any case by the date of 15/01/22, You will receive an evaluation that will be made up of the exams required in the other modules of the course to compose the final grade.
Failure to deliver the exercises or their replacement and the final exercise by 15/01/22 will result in the attribution of a further series of exercises for the purpose of completing the examination materials.
