Study Plans

The Study Plan includes all the exams required to be admitted to the final examination and to obtain a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
At the time of enrolment, a Statutory Study Plan is automatically assigned, based on the Programme Regulations. However, this plan is not sufficient to graduate: during your studies it is mandatory to submit your Study Plan at least once, choosing:

  • study track (curriculum), if applicable
  • compulsory courses
  • optional courses (choice groups)
  • elective courses

Important information

  • First-year Bachelor’s degree students must submit their Study Plan starting from the second year, except for the Degree Programme in Techniques and Technologies for Construction and Territory and Electronic Engineering, which require submission from the first year.
  • Submitting the Study Plan for the a.y. 2025/2026 blocks access to the graduation sessions of a.y. 2024/2025. Students who intend to graduate by 30 April 2026 must use the graduating students procedure.

Study Plan submission

The Study Plan is normally submitted online.

The following students must submit their Study Plan via Google Form only if they:

  • have carried out transfers/change of programme/credit recognition,
  • have an already approved individual Study Plan
  • have participated in an Erasmus mobility programme
  • have already submitted a Study Plan via Google Form
  • are beyond the standard duration of the programme (in any case, check the table below for your enrolment year)
  • are enrolled in a Master’s degree and have taken a compulsory course of the Master’s programme during their Bachelor’s degree. In this case, it is necessary to contact the programme coordinators to identify a replacement course.

Periods for submission/modification of the Study Plan

Two periods are scheduled for each academic year

First period

Second period

From 15 October to 15 November From 15 April to 15 May

Resubmission of rejected Study Plans:

online: 16–30 November
Google Form: 24–30 November

Resubmission of rejected Study Plans:

online: 16–30 May
Google Form: 24–30 May

Resubmission periods may be extended if results are communicated after the indicated deadlines.

A. Online Study Plan submission

Students enrolled in the degree programmes and cohorts listed in the tables below must submit their Study Plan online using the GCS service. The cohort refers to the enrolment year and regulations shown in the student record.

Access to the procedure is possible only after renewing enrolment for the a.y. 2025/2026 (first instalment paid).

Before starting:

Before confirming:
Check that the total number of ECTS credits is correct:
180 ECTS credits for Bachelor’s degrees
120 ECTS credits for Master’s degrees
If you exceed the required number of credits, ensure this is intentional.
Confirm the Study Plan definitively only after carefully checking all entered data.

B. Submission of the Study Plan via Google Form

If you are enrolled in degree programmes governed by Ministerial Decree 509/1999 or previous regulations, you must send the form to ingegneria.pianistudio@unifi.it.

Google Form link October 15, 2025 – November 15, 2025

After the first submission window closes, it will be possible to resubmit the study plan for students whose plan was rejected. The resubmission dates will be announced at a later time.

Google Form for resubmission of rejected study plans

Note: Students enrolled in the Master’s Degree Programme in Biomedical Engineering who must complete the study plan via Google Form are required to attach the following control file: Attachment: Study Plan Amendment Form – Version July 1, 2025.

C. Choice or Modification of the Curriculum

The choice of curriculum must be made within the online procedure, and before submitting the actual study plan.

If you wish to modify the curriculum already chosen at the time of enrolment, you can do so before editing your study plan, through the procedure available on the Student Career Management (Gestione Carriere Studenti) portal under “career” > “curriculum selection”.

Once the curriculum change has been made, you must in any case inform the Student Administration Office by writing to ing@adm.unifi.it, copying ingegneria.pianistudio@unifi.it. In the email, please specify any exams taken that are not included in the new curriculum and for which you wish to request recognition.

The choice must be made only among the curricula active for your cohort of enrolment.

D. Graduating Students

Students who are about to graduate and need to make changes to their study plan in order to complete their degree requirements must submit their plan exclusively through the Google Form.

It is not necessary to wait for committee approval if the modification only concerns the inclusion of a thesis or internship activity already recognized by the programme.

For all other changes, approval from the programme committee is required.

E. Approval Times and Results

Study plans submitted online or via Google Form will be reviewed by the Degree Programme Committee.

Students will be notified of the approval or any required changes through the Student Portal (GCS) or their institutional email address (name.surname@stud.unifi.it).

Once the plan has been approved, the student can register for exams for the selected courses and view the plan in their academic transcript.

Processing times: generally within 30 days after the submission deadline.

F. Contacts and Support

Support for completing the study plan is available:

  • Study Plan support desk:
School Teaching Office – Room 017
    Call Centre: +39 055 275 8999 (Mon–Tue–Wed 9:30–12:30, Thu 14:30–17:00)
    Opening hours: Mon–Tue–Wed 9:30–12:30, Thu 14:30–17:00
  • For administrative issues, email ingegneria.pianistudio@unifi.it from your institutional account, including your student ID number, degree programme, and a detailed description of the issue.
  • For academic matters, contact the programme coordinators/evaluators (contacts are listed in the tables above).
