Enrollment in Bachelor’s Degree Programs

 

EU or equivalent students

Admission requirements

Students who are citizens of the European Union and hold a qualification obtained abroad, recognized and equivalent to the Italian diploma, may access bachelor’s degree programs.

To complete enrollment, it is necessary to register on the Student Career Management portal and verify the validity of the qualification according to the established procedures.

Entry knowledge assessment test

Before taking exams, it is mandatory to complete the entry knowledge assessment test (TOLC).

If the result is negative, OFA (Additional Educational Requirements) may be assigned.

Passing the test is not required for enrollment, but it is strongly recommended to take it by August 31 of the year in which you intend to enroll.

Enrollment application

The enrollment application must be completed online through the Student Career Management portal, within the deadlines indicated in the academic calendar.

  • You must complete the online procedure and pay the enrollment fee
  • For open access programs, the application can also be completed after the deadline, with an additional administrative fee of 100 euros
  • For limited enrollment programs, deadlines and procedures specified in the relevant calls apply

During the enrollment procedure, the following documents must be uploaded online:

  • foreign qualification (original or certified copy), according to the required procedures
  • valid identity document
  • (only for non-EU citizens) residence permit or receipt of application

Procedure confirmation

Once the application and document upload are completed, enrollment is finalized following administrative checks by the Student Administration Office.

Non-EU students

Non-EU students residing abroad must hold a Study title obtained outside of Italy for university access, obtained after at least 12 years of schooling.
It is also necessary to verify the validity of the foreign qualification through:

  • Declaration of Value, or
  • CIMEA certificates (comparability and verification)

Pre-enrollment application

The pre-enrollment application is mandatory for non-EU students residing abroad and must be submitted through the Universitaly portal within the deadlines established by the Ministry.

  • The application is sent to the Italian diplomatic representation in the country of residence
  • For open access programs, the deadline is generally July 31
  • The pre-enrollment is required to start the visa process, but does not guarantee either visa issuance or enrollment

Study visa

  • Visa issuance is the exclusive responsibility of consular authorities
  • Without a visa, it is not possible to enter Italy for study purposes

Italian language test

  • The test is mandatory before enrollment

Enrollment

  • The procedure must be completed within the established deadlines
  • Payment of the enrollment fee is required
  • For open access programs, late enrollment is possible with an additional fee

Enrollment in Master’s Degree Programs

EU and non-EU students

Admission requirements

Students who have obtained a Study titles obtained outside of Italy (both EU and non-EU citizens, including Italian citizens with a foreign qualification) may access master’s degree programs, provided that the qualification is valid and suitable for admission to the chosen program.

Applications may only be submitted after obtaining the required qualification.

Non-EU students residing abroad must also:

For open access programs, the deadline for submitting the pre-enrollment application is July 31, 2025.

  • The pre-enrollment is necessary to start the visa and enrollment procedures.
  • Validation of the application by the University does not guarantee either visa issuance or enrollment.

Admission application and enrollment

The admission application must be submitted through the DreamApply portal, following the provided instructions.

Online enrollment

To submit the enrollment application, students must register on the online student services portal and complete the online procedure.

At the end of the registration, the system automatically generates the enrollment fee, which must be paid to complete enrollment.

For open access programs, it is possible to submit the application and pay the fee after the deadline, with an additional administrative fee of 100 euros.

Required documents

During the online procedure, the following documents must be uploaded:

  • Academic qualification required for access to the master’s degree program
  • Diploma Supplement or transcript of exams (legalized or apostilled and translated into Italian, unless already in English, French, or Spanish)
  • Clearance (nulla osta) issued by the academic structure
