Obiettivi Formativi
cc9: Knowledge of the concept of industrial innovation, quality and environmental problems applied to mechanical design and machine construction. Knowledge of methods for systemic innovation management. Knowledge of methods for the protection of individual property, cc12: Knowledge of methods for conceiving, planning, designing and managing complex and/or innovative systems, processes and services., cc13: Knowledge of methods for designing and managing highly complex experiments., cc15: Fluent knowledge, in written and oral form, of at least one European Union language (mainly in English) other than Italian, with reference also to disciplinary lexicons. ca1: The ability to apply one's own knowledge and understanding to identify problems and formulate solutions, in the field of mechanical engineering, to set up, design and implement and verify, systems and apparatus, even of high functional complexity, taking into account the implications related to environmental, economic and ethical aspects, all through the use of consolidated methods;, ca4: The ability to implement engineering projects adapted to their level of knowledge and understanding, working in collaboration with engineers and non-engineers. Projects may concern components, equipment and mechanical systems of various kinds and for the widest applications., ca5: The in-depth ability to choose and use appropriate equipment, tools, procedures and methods, knowing their limits and potential; in particular the ability to conduct experiments, including complex experiments, manage and employ advanced instrumentation and software, with appropriate analytical capabilities. ca6: The ability to identify, locate and obtain data and information necessary for evaluation.., ca7: The ability to define, design and conduct surveys useful for understanding problems, through the use of both theoretical and experimental models and techniques., ca9: The ability to critically evaluate data and results and draw appropriate conclusions, aware of the degree of uncertainty from which they may be affected, ca10: The advanced skills to operate effectively, individually and as members of a group, having a clear understanding of the context of engineering problems and the interdisciplinary implications that characterize mechanical engineering. ca11: The improved ability to present written, verbal and possibly verbal. multimedia, its own arguments and the results of its own study or work, with characteristics of organicity and technical rigour., ca12: The adequate ability to understand the sources in English language.., ca13: The ability to communicate and transfer information, ideas, problems and solutions to specialist and non-specialist interlocutors, both in Italian and English. ca14: The ability to learn and update autonomously and continuously in a constantly evolving context, such as that of industrial engineering.

Final exam: presentation of a team project work - not more than 15 slides long, give reasoned analysis of classworks.
Grades are given in ECTS systems and translated into 30-point scale. Participation to the classroom is strongly recommended.
