Learning Objectives
The scope of the course is to give students the tools for:
- the structural design of new buildings for both gravity and lateral loads
- the structural rehabilitation of existing R.C. or masonry buildings.

Teaching Methods
Frontal classroom instruction, bi-weekly reviews of design applications.
Type of Assessment
The exam consists of two parts:
- the first part concerns the discussion of a project prepared by the student during the bi-weekly educational workshop
- the second part covers theoretical material and important concepts related to classroom lectures.
